 We have been inundated with calls and messages asking about our annual Pantomime, but sadly due to Covid,  St Joseph's Hall remains closed.  However all being well the Hall will be re-opening in the Spring.

Meanwhile a few months ago, we decided we would perform Murder Mystery Nights until the Hall reopens,  the first of which was last Month and was a complete sell out just  two days after tickets went on sale. So if you want a great night out, 1st class entertainment, look no further Our next production is 

 ONCE UPON A CRIME

What a fantastic night, and  such great comments from our audience
.  It was great being able to do a performance after such a long time, the first since the lock down, we are still waiting for the hall to reopen which will  possibly be in February all being well.  Here are a few pictures taken on the night of the Murder

              A few nights ago ACTS had their awards 2019 night at the CRESTA COURT HOTEL, which again due to Coved 19 had to be cancelled.  However St Joseph's Players who  achieved nominations have now received well deserved awards. Congratulations to our winners from the productions 
.   Paul Jameson (Victor Prynne) in PRIVATE LIVES and the Ensemble
 (The Turner Tappers) in STEPPING OUT, Paul was even more elated by winning  a raffle prize

  It has been quite a while now since the beginning of Covid 19 and our last production .Although St Joseph's Hall is still closed, Fr Keiran is hopeful that, God willing, the Hall will be open again in the Spring.  Meanwhile St Joseph's Players have been rehearsing a Murder Mystery "TIL DEATH US DO PART which was sold out only two days after tickets went on sale, but not to worry if you missed out this time, we are planning to do more Murder Mysteries, so watch this space, and book early.

                                     POP UP THEATRE





                                  


On the 8th of August 2021 St Joseph's Players took part in the ROYAL EXCHANGE THEATRE POP UP THEATRE FESTIVAL  at the Spinners Mill in Leigh. 

 PAUL JAMESON and PAULINE NEVELL performed excerpts from John Godber's September in the Rain. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all and along with others provided an afternoon of excellent entertainment.













 

St Joseph's Players 2021 Update

We may have lost a year due to Covid 19 but we are still here and

raring to get back to rehearsing more productions.  St Joseph's Hall is still closed as yet but we are hoping to hear in the very near future when the Halls will reopen.

        Meanwhile  we have have some great news. On the 31st of July the  ACTS SPOTLIGHT ON STAGE & OFF STAGE AWARDS CEREMONY was held at the Cresta Court Hotel,  St Joseph's Players received  11 Nominations and Awards for our Pantomime DICK WHITTINGTON. Listed below:
